The Blessing of the Riders & Bikes
The Script
For those who serve God & Liberty
From 2 wheels to 18
We begin our Ceremony with an opening prayer
We thank You Lord for this moment as we join together to acknowledge You as first in our lives and to thank You for the blessing of life, of provision, and mobility. We acknowledge You as the reason and purpose for all that we are and all that we have, asking You to show us how we are to use Your gifts which You have entrusted to us. Therefore, we humbly ask for Your guidance and protection throughout our days and travels, in order that we will move within Your purpose, with Your heart and by Your Ways.
Reading of the Scripture
Lord, we look to You and Your written Word; help us to hear, receive, and then keep Your Word in our souls as our standard as we pray for direction, safety, prosperity, provision, and to be vessels of Your peace and love everywhere we ride.
Proverbs 3:6 says, “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
And so, we keep You in mind, Father God, as we set out onto the highways and byways knowing that You will guide us.
Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
And so, we seek Your Kingdom which is where Your Spirit abides, knowing that what we need to complete our missions will come on time, according to Your Purpose for our lives.
Then, in Psalms 20: 7-8 we read, “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.”
And so, we place our trust in You Lord, knowing that it is You whom we represent, and it is You who can help us to rise and ride upright.
Psalm 45:4 says, “And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness.”
And 3 John (1) 2 says, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
And so, we affirm that our identity and our prosperity is not measured by the material things of this world but in You and in Your Spirit; and so, we consecrate our Bikes as well as all possessions unto You.
Deuteronomy 33: 26-27 says, “There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky. The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.”
Moment of Silence
And so, Lord, we commit our lives to You knowing that You are our eternal safety-net; and with that verse just spoken, we will now remember those who have passed on with a moment of silence…
Psalms 121:8 says, “The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.”
And, Psalm 91: 2 & 4 says,
(2) “I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.”
(4) “He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.”
And so, we look to You, Lord, as the one who preserves our soul forever.
Sprinkling of the Bikes & Vehicles with water
And now, we conclude by passing from one to the other, a vessel of water; and as we anoint our vehicles, we remember that water is a metaphor for mercy. And so, we ask Lord, that not only You keep us safe, but that You help us to be vessels for Your mercy and Your love, everywhere we go and with everyone we meet. In Your Name we Pray. Amen.

Chaplain Ann M. Wolf officiated the Blessing of the Bikes & Riders, Rolling Thunder, Inc., Knoxville, TN, a few years back. Here are two who participated.
Taken at the Gathering of the Tribes, Spartanburg, SC, each person in this photo was representing a different Christian Biker group. Chaplain Ann was present to add invocations, music, and her KIA/POW/MIA ceremony.
Chaplain Ann and her long time husband, SS Charles J. Byerly (Ret.) have traveled many miles together to attend Honor Rides and Christian Biker events.
